Accessing MBCC's Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) - Student Guide

MBCC's Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) is the College's online learning platform, powered by Moodle. Through the VLE, students can access course materials, assignments, quizzes, grades, and announcements, while lecturers can manage course content and student learning activities.

The VLE is integrated with MyMBCC (mymbcc.edu.jm), the College's digital hub for academic and administrative services. Single Sign-On (SSO) allows users to move seamlessly between MyMBCC and the VLE without having to sign in multiple times.

Accessing the VLE

Option 1: Direct Access

  1. Open your web browser.
  2. Go to https://vle.mymbcc.edu.jm.
  3. Sign in using your MBCC account if prompted.

Option 2: Through MyMBCC

  1. Log in to https://mymbcc.edu.jm.
  2. Locate the MBCC's VLE icon in the upper-right section of the home page.
  3. Select the icon to open the VLE.

Mobile Users: If you do not see the VLE icon, rotate your device to landscape mode or use a desktop browser for the best experience.

Accessing Your Courses

The VLE is automatically synchronized with iSIMS. 
  1. Your VLE account is automatically created the first time you sign in.
  2. Each time you sign in, the system checks the courses for which you are registered in iSIMS and automatically enrolls you in the corresponding VLE courses.

Important:  You must first complete your semester Course Registration / Selection in iSIMS before your courses become available in the VLE.


What Can Students Do in the VLE?

Once enrolled in your courses, you can:
  1. Access lecture notes and learning resources.
  2. Submit assignments.
  3. Complete quizzes and assessments.
  4. Participate in forums and discussions.
  5. View grades and feedback.
  6. Receive course announcements from lecturers.

Need Help?

If you experience issues such as missing courses or enrollment problems, try signing out of the VLE then sign back in to refresh your course enrollments.
